As a result of the much publicised murder at the start of this season's L Word, the first few episodes resemble Murder She Wrote, just with more, um, oral. And yes, in terms of the sex, The L Word is as hot as ever.

With its sexy dance routines, unforgettable inspirational dialogue (“You give up your dream, you die!”) and attempt at a statement on gender relations, Flashdance is still so hot that you will need a bucket of cold water poured on you after you watch it.

Although there is probably someone in L.A. just like Mark -- art house aesthetic on the outside masking a Joe Francis attitude on the inside -- he never seems completely believable.
