Music

Dog Bite: Tranquilizers

For a band that sounds more punk than its musical output would parlay, there’s very little on Tranquilizers that makes any sort of impact, making it, for the most part, a passable and utterly disposable album.

Music

Pepe Deluxé: Queen of the Wave

Music

TV Ghost: Mass Dream

Mass Dream will scare the bejesus out of you with its horrific cacophony of white noise, combining the surf guitar and rockabilly elements of the Cramps with the art-punk stylings of early Pere Ubu.

Music

Figurines: Figurines

This is not the sound of a band trying to branch out and try something different, per se; Figurines winds up sounding like stuff you’ve heard elsewhere, and done a whole lot better.
