This cautionary tale isn’t the least bit preachy, it’s simply a man taking real pleasure in his freedom from drugs and the return of his real self. Stewart explains, “the song is self explanatory, I nearly died a couple of times, Annie [Lennox] saved me once, I’m very excited to be alive.” That joy for life is evident in the song’s funky refrains and is infectious.
