Unlike many bands today that are taking cues from older bands, Erase Errata really know how to be influenced without having the influence take over their sound.

Erase Errata have said that their erratic, glass-shattering noise is meant to be dance music. Don't believe them. It's panic attack music. It's epileptic seizure music.

Their roots are less with the post-punk war-horses like the Gang of Four and Devo, and more with LiLiput, the Swiss feminist band from the early '80s. Like LiLiput, Erase Errata makes the form their music takes a political statement in itself.
