The follow-up to 2002’s Make It Pop has this trio led by Gaverick de Vis starting with a sneering rumble on “Intro” that grows in intensity, before de Vis sounds as if he’s about to have a net thrown over him. And “Sick” is a full song to boot. Things then go into a frantic nature with “Kapow”, which isn’t quite nü-metal nor hard rock, but still sounds like Linkin Park covering an AC/DC track. And it has all the punch of an Adam West karate chop. By far, “Panzrama” is the best tune here so far, bringing to mind something Primus might sink their teeth into. Giddy Motors leave nothing to chance, nor do they do anything half-assed, as is the case with the Jon Spencer-ish “Early Morning Pipe” or the ensuing “Negro”, which resembles a lost Jane’s Addiction nugget. Following a middle of the road instrumental entitled “Endgame”, Giddy Motors round the record off with an eerie, ominous “Dot Dot Dot” that kicks into a wall of feedback and guitar.
