Though the bulk of John Digweed’s artist releases were mostly the ghost work of Nick Muir, he has a keen sense to surround himself with some amazingly talented artists. Digweed personally commissioned Belgian producer Benoit Franquet (a.k.a. Pole Folder) to design the first ever artist album for his Bedrock label, which came out in 2005 to high praise. Now, some three years later, Benoit has been given the keys to orchestrate the first release for FriskyRadio’s new record label. Also a DJing debut for himself, Destinations puts the right foot forward. His mixing is flawless to the point of being undetectable and his track selection is so even that picking highlights is essentially unnecessary. This is about the most perfect a mix as progressive house has to offer 2008, this side of Mutek anyway. You outta do more of these, Ben.
