VOWWS – “Councillor” (video) (premiere)

Los Angeles-based industrial pop duo VOWWS recently released their latest album The Great Sun, which features guest appearances by Gary Numan and Thor Harris of Swans. In addition they’ve just put together a raw new video for the track “Councillor”, which can be seen below.

“”We wanted to capture something in complete contrast to the song,” they say. “‘Councillor’ is almost a concept song, about the romanticizing of authority and old-school hierarchy. So instead of going for the new romantic/new wave aesthetic, we decided to go for a lo-fi basement vibe, like a lot of DIY early MTV videos.”
