It’s not too late to get all the information you need on all the new fall shows.

Thursday is home to the highest-rated and most heavily hyped shows on television. Because some of last year’s new debuts didn’t make it (The New Normal, Last Resort) and a few old favorites came to the end of their run (30 Rock, The Office), many new shows are competing for our attention on this night. There’s plenty of options and something out there for almost everyone.

Women are turning up the tramp factor, white guys are co-opting black culture, and black artists are upping their “gangsta” stance.

Recently, at a casual lunch among co-workers, I found myself the odd man out. We had gotten onto the topic of Miley Cyrus at the VMA’s (yes, we are still talking about it) and I rather off-handedly referred to her as a “slutty”. Some of my co-diners immediately disagreed and accused me of being too judgmental, of missing the point, of “slut-shaming” Miley. I retreated and returned to my plate of half-eaten tacos.

Later, though, on the inordinately quiet ride back to the office, I had a bit of an epiphany. After her now infamous appearance at the MTV Awards, just what exactly did Miley want us to take away from that performance?

"Ozymandias" may be Breaking Bad's crowing achievement, but "Felina" gave audiences what they wanted, and it's mercifully devoid of pandering.

Just to state the obvious - this article contains spoilers about the final episode of Breaking Bad.

Creator Vince Gilligan said the finalé of Breaking Bad would be polarizing. But at around 9PM CST, I swear I could hear a spontaneous cry of elation as Jesse wrapped his shackles around the throat of his baby-faced, dead-eyed, child-killing captor Todd and squeezed the life out of him. It was the payoff the vast majority of fans wanted, especially since it was at the hands of a character you hoped would walk away from the inevitable carnage of the final episode.
