Progressive rock guitarist and composer Jane Getter is preparing to release her new album On this fall, a lavish record featuring not only her own formidable talents but collaborations with a host of acclaimed musicians from the jazz and rock world. Among her collaborators is Living Colour singer Corey Glover, who turns in a superb vocal performance on the dreamy eight-minute composition “Surprised”.

Brooklyn indie rock trio Dreamers put out their very good, and aptly named new EP E.P. early this year. Since then, though, they were afforded the opportunity to record in iconic Fairfax Recording Studio, formerly Sound City, where innumerable legendary albums were recorded. One of the tracks the band chose to play was Blind Melon’s 1992 classic “No Rain”; only this time, they alter the song’s mood significantly, with fascinating results.
