Detroit duo TART release first music video for the darkly danceable, riff-laden "Lobbyist".

Mixing the grime with the glam is the stock and trade of Detroit duo TART. That paradigm is made clear in their first video, for the tune “Lobbyist” off their debut EP, Knots.

Pulling from Blondie-style New Wave and the Kills’ brand of minimalistic blues-punk, TART casts a bewitching brew of sounds. Both visually and audibly, Zee Bricker vamps it up in a range of vocal tones while guitarist Adam Michael Lee Padden goes wild with the riffing.

It's never out of season for a quality slice of summery beach pop, as the flute-accented "Pool Guard" attests.

Winter is coming—as are the numerous Game of Thrones memes that pop up once this realizations starts hitting the public—but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy an unabashed bit of beach pop. Such is especially the case for the band Inspired and the Sleep, a rock outfit based out of San Diego, where the beach is but a hop and a skip away. The band’s latest tune, “Pool Guard”, is coated in summertime nostalgia, and its cheeky flute line brings to mind images of the Brady Bunch’s trip to Hawaii.

The lead track off of the Scott Walker and Sunn O))) collaboration LP Soused tells a crazy story on its own; now, however, it's got some haunting visual accompaniment to join it.

“Oh, the wide Missouri!” Scott Walker sings, kicking off his collaborative album with the American drone metal overlords behind Sunn O))), Stephen O’Malley and Greg Anderson. Walker sounds better than he’s sounded in years, his famed (and now aged) baritone croon reaching near operatic heights. Of course, this being a collaboration between Walker and Sunn O))), things get increasingly weirder from there. From Guns N’ Roses-indebted lead guitar licks to the sound of a cracking bullwhip, “Brando” is a predictably iconoclastic tune from these sonic innovators.

The latest tune by Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is, unsurprising for these guys, a retro-minded piece of rock and roll.

Those who remember the psychedelic color washes of Oasis’ “Shock of the Lightning” are sure to feel right at home when watching the latest music video by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, “In the Heat of the Moment”. The tune is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming sophomore LP, Chasing Yesterday. The album finds Gallagher producing and writing all the music.

Nashville musical mystic Stone Jack Jones has released his newest single, "Circumstance", a song where a lone banjo gives way to rising and falling verses, with spectral vocals creaking throughout a long-rotten homestead on late autumn winds.

After an eight-year musical hiatus, Nashville musical mystic Stone Jack Jones released his third album, Ancestor, earlier this year. Describing his music in a recent mini-documentary on the making of Ancestor, Jones noted, “Despite my nature and inclination to disappear into the dark, my friends have the tendency to rouse me and lead me towards the light. Without them there would be no story told.”
