Warp Records, aka the label that made you fall in love with “IDM” before you knew how corny the term was, is set to celebrate 20 (!!) years in existence. In honor of being almost old enough to drink in the US, the label is asking YOU to vote for your 10 favorite Warp tracks. Click here to participate. And make sure to give good consideration to B12’s “Soundtrack of Space” and Autechre’s “Second Peng.”

Last decade, you may recall, the celebration was marked by the release of three compilations, celebrating Warp’s influences, early singles, and then asking other artists to have a go at remixing the Warp canon. This time around, the top 10 tracks (from 10 different artists) will be released as a compilation in August 09, complete with liner notes featuring user-submitted comments about the tracks.

Here’s the fourth no budget music video Neil Young has made for his upcoming album Fork in the Road. “Cough Up the Bucks” addresses these hard economic times and asks “where did all the money go?”

Four Tet (Kieran Hebden) is on a short tour in advance of a new album scheduled for release later in 2009. The tour includes North American dates, including a DJ set at Santos Party House in New York, as well as his first show in Mexico. Also noteworthy is his return to Plastic People in London, where he will resume his DJ residency.

Jason Pierce’s Spiritualized, officially revived with last year’s Songs in A & E, will perform landmark 1997 album Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space live in its entirety as part of ATP Concerts’ Don’t Look Back series.

The fully loaded performance will take place on Monday, October 12 at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Tickets are on sale now. A Legacy Edition of the album is also expected to be released in October.
