In addition, the hip-hop artist has mapped out a small April/March tour, bookended by sold out New York and California shows.
The new tune is “Believe”, a slow-jam ballad. Lidell says, “it’s an honest admission of self doubt. I even feel vulnerable releasing this song, which is why I know it’s important.”
Pussy Riot told NME that the song is dedicated “to Eric Garner and to all who suffer from state terror—killed, choked, perished because of war and police violence—to political prisoners and those on the streets fighting for change. We all have to protest for those who are silent, and we have to protest for each other, no matter the geography, no matter the borders.”
By way of preview, Earle performs one of the album’s new songs, “You’re The Best Lover That I Ever Had”, solo on a porch.
