We’re big fans of Florence & the Machine’s debut Lungs, giving the album a 9. Emily Tartanella recently said, “Florence & the Machine deliver a stunning debut in the wake of overwhelming expectations.” Jamie T. recently remixed “Rabbit Heart” and gave it some heavier beats.

Taken from the upcoming 3xCD/ Double Vinyl release Sadly, The Future is Not What it Was (which is quite accurately named), this is the first release recorded under Kirby’s given name. His multiplicity of past work most famously includes V/VM, The Stranger, and The Caretaker. Like the amazing work as the Caretaker, Kirby’s debut promises to further animate the sonic alienation that exists between the rapidly changing world and the rapidly deteriorating past.

Timothy Gabriele said of Zomby’s recent full-length Where Were U in ’92 that it “seems to try its damnedest to replicate a mixtape, or at least the atmosphere of a mix tape. While it’s easy to get distracted by the titular year in question, the aim of the artist seems to be directed more at evoking the sensation and the sense of possibility in ’92 rather than anything specific.” “Godzilla” is a new song up their upcoming EP.
