Swervedriver

Despite the abundance of great music today, sometimes I long for the heyday of British indie rock bands from the early to mid-’90s. Swervedriver are one of those bands that were lumped into the lame press categorization of shoegazer music. Unlike a lot of the genre’s bands, Swervedriver deliver a harder, melodic rock sound.

Adam Franklin and crew took the eager crowd on a sonic ride brimming with copious amounts of effects-pedal laced guitars and bass. Mostly playing songs from their first two albums Raise and Mezcal Head, the band closed out the show with an encore consisting of Sci-Flyer, Girl on a Motorbike and Duress.
