Das Bierbeben: Alles Fallt

Repetitive bass thumps, ’80s keyboards, and monotonous guitar strummings are layered with judgmental vocal, navelgazing insistingly professed by the German spoken/sung vocals of two same-tone female vocalists, simply known as The East and The West. It is a futile sense of mystery introduced into a formula that is annoyingly caustic in its simplicity, seemingly minimalistic only for stubborn obnoxiousness. Alles Fallt is an album for self-important performance art students, high on their own “art”, to inebriatedly stomp to. You may get a bit of a rise out of this album, but it will likely be one of annoyance. Or revulsion at arrogance. What’s your poison?
