She’s Spanish, I’m American stands as a breezy pop flirtation between Rouse and Suay. Rouse has perfected the art of smooth, dreamy pop, and Suay, who joined him on his most recent Subtitulo tour, possesses breathy, occasionally coquettish vocals that float over Rouse’s smooth arrangements.
