Coming as no surprise to gamers, the world didn't end this year. We've been staving off such disaster for decades now in the arcade and at home, so here are a few of the best titles of this otherwise apocalypse-free year.

The last four games in the series have criticized totalitarianism by showing us what would happen if the “select few” in charge didn’t care about the people, but Assassin’s Creed III argues that if the “select few” in charge really do care about those beneath them, then society might flourish.

The worst thing about Connor as a character seems to me to have less to do with him possibly serving as an ethnic stereotype and more to do with the fact that he often just doesn't seem human at all.
