Finally, it's time for the main courses, the big dishes that may leave a lasting impact come end of the year entertainment evaluations. Sure, there's some junk food included for the less mature mindset; a second helping of romantic vampire dross and an over the top world ending banquet that may just be more appealing to audiences than some of the high class cooking present.

No movie in recent memory has benefitted more from its release on DVD — with its accompanying deleted scenes — than Pirate Radio.

Instead of being the kind of bracing, insightful docudrama that sheds light on a subject few outside the UK know about, what we wind up with is a bloated effort that tries to be everything to everyone -- coming of age comedy, pop art period piece, political satire, crafty character study, ensemble romp, and/or hilarious history lesson.
