Michael PaterakisAbout Michael PaterakisMichael Paterakis was born and bred in Athens, Greece. For as long as he can remember himself he wanted to be a journalist. Thus he enrolled in the media lab of Panteion University of Athens where he currently pursues a BA in Mass Media and Communications. His first attempt to enter the profession was his launching of the now-defunct cultural news website Athens Times when he was fifteen years old. Since then he has covered a number of issues for a wide range of publications but his primary focus has been the soccer world with which he has been in love for years. With his status as the Goal.com Greece correspondent he has reported on the top-flight soccer European championship (Champions League) as well as the 2006 World Cup of Germany. Provided that he would have an Internet connection he could live (almost) isolated for days watching films (preferably by Tarantino and Lynch), reading books and listening to the records he downloads. Apart from the journalism class his other interest which has to do with the university nowadays is its theatrical team in which he is valuable member; or at least he wants to believe so. He is also the lead guitarist in a small band he has established along with friends. Features![]() SportsFootball Factory, Greek Style[9.Jan.07] :.
