News

You may have heard of concerts on cruises or concerts with camping out but this year one festival is being billed as the “first resort destination music festival”. PopMatters is excited to share the info on Pensacola, Florida’s second DeLuna Fest running from October 14th to 16th. Accommodations are available at three resorts on-site so you can the beach party never has to wind down. Last year’s inaugural event functioned as an economic stimulus package for the coastal region afflicted by 2010’s BP oil spill. Festival organizer’s “hope to continue rebuilding the region’s economy and tourism with this year’s fest, too!”

Some great bands, including Cut Copy, Trombone Shorty, Matt & Kim and Jane’s Addiction that we have covered will be there. Plus there are numerous other bands worth checking out, including The Little Death (a side project of Moby’s), Givers, CAKE, Bettye LaVette, Motopony and Nico Vega will be appearing.
