ShareYesterday in Nashville, the Americana Music Association announced the nominees for the 2008 Honors and Awards ceremony, to be held on September 18 at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Several PopMatters perenial favorites appear with deserved nominations including Mike Farris for New Emerging Artist of the Year and the Avett Brothers for Duo/Group of the Year. This year’s featival and conference will take place from September 17 through the 20th.
