OMD's latest album 'English Electric' releasing 9 April is a worthy follow-up to 'History of Modern'.

The legendary electro-pop group has plotted a US tour, which includes a Coachella appearance, to promote the new record and now they have also released the first video for the project. “Metroland” is but one of the many stellar songs on the new release and the video was created by animator Garan Rushton and directed by David O’Byrne.


OMD’s Andy McCluskey says: “London’s Metropolitan Railway sold a dream ‘Live in Metroland’. So many people were encouraged to move out of the city center that the open fields they fled to become vast swathes of suburbia. The very act of reaching for Utopia led to its destruction.”

With American Idol’s latest season now in full swing, let’s take a look at what happened to last year’s top ten contestants.

Critics raved about The Voice and entertainment writers devoted their time to spin-off The X Factor, but viewers stuck with American Idol. The show had spent seven of its past ten years on television as the highest rated series, and 2012 was no exception.


Despite ongoing controversy about rigged results and claims that the show wasn’t the career-starter that it used to be, three of season 11’s top 10 contestants were signed to record deals within months of being on the show. Not to mention, the winner’s first single became the show’s best selling debut.
