Side Show SuckersSub Rosa[2 April 2007] by Mikita BrottmanFor those waiting on a cold night for a shrunken head, a vampire-killing silver bullet, and the last, nasty little shred of Abe Lincoln, they would only be misled and deceived, yet again.

Surton GirlsMikita Brottman28.May.08 The girls collected in Surton's photographs evoke butterflies pinned to a board in the dusty attic of a lonely lepidopterist.
E-mails from the DeadMikita Brottman06.May.08 Like a cyber séance, of sorts, these Internet services have become a means for the dead to speak to the living.
Customer FeedbackMikita Brottman26.Mar.08 Some Amazon buyers serve as "culture jammers", expressing their contempt for advertisers through simple acts of creative customer feedback.

Kind of a shame. I remember my freshman year at MICA there was a great lecture by one of the guys from mummy roadshow and the guys from the museum about sideshow mummies (those don’t happen nearly enough at MICA). I never did make it there, I always thought it was closed. But at least I saw that giant ball of string, too.
