Just to correct one point, apparently the All Blacks are not called so due to the colour of their uniform, but rather because of a typographical error by a local scribe during the 1905 tour of the UK, who was trying to describe the NZ team as playing like “all backs”. No doubt the colour of the uniform helped make the name stick though.
