The phenomenal success of the British Invasion led to a stampede of record labels trying to promote bands that could cash in on Beatlemania. Pop Gear shows over 15 bands, attempting to lip synch their way to stardom. The result is surprisingly touching and loaded with kitschy, camp fun.

Hi, an interesting read.I grew up through all this in the 60s.
The comment about Steve Winwood is interesting as I have now seen him live a dozen or so times since 2003 both in UK and USA and believe me he is still going strong and never boring.
Get out and see him next chance. You will be surprised.
