Martin Scorsese's hotly tipped Oscar fave, The Departed, plumbs the depths of the psychological and sociological motives of violence, loyalty, and duty.

No mention that it’s a remake?...It’s weak. Scorcese should have taken his clout and championed the original, had it packaged with his version or something along those lines..."Infernal Affairs” is a far superior film. But the masses just can’t handle subtitles I suppose. It’s a good film (The Departed) but it’s far from a classic, doesn’t have that much depth and one more thing...they should have AT LEAST let Winstone play Costello. Criminal…
