Review: The Lives of Others (Das Leben der Anderen) (2006)Cynthia Fuchs09.Feb.07 In East Berlin 1984, Gerd Wiesler believes in what he does. A Stasi captain and surveillance expert, he implacably pursues his directive, "to know everything."

There is one big mistake in this review. The main character (the writer) is not Paul Hauser - it is Georg Dreyman. Paul Hauser is his dissident friend.
