TV was at a standstill. On one side -- the status quo. On the other -- the innovators from outside the mainstream. Guess who ended up winning the 'classics’ argument?

It seems criminal that “Twin Peaks” is left out of the “Outsider Influences” category. Lynch’s ground-breaking show proved that there could be an audience for stuff like the “X-Files,” and without it, I don’t think many of the popular and unusual shows of the last 15 years would have ever seen the light of day.
