As the genre collects some long-term history, hip-hop is starting to suffer from an age-confusion issue, embodied nowhere better than in the self-made teen sensation Soulja Boy.

I was always under the impression that Soulja Boy’s “Supaman” was a reference to placing the cape on the girl’s back afterward.

Either way, good piece. Interesting that this isn’t the same sort of thing as when the punk rockers started to get old.
