A practical guide to understanding, buying and enjoying HDTV

Thank you for your information, we need help with selecting an LCD because we do not have the room for anything larger than a 36-37 inch tv.  we have heard that Sony, is no one, Toshiba is 2, Samsung is 3 and Sharp is 4, what happened to panasonic.

The cost to repair these are unbelievable, which one would you suggest.  Your help would be appreciated.

Thank you Nancy and Ray

I can’t see how you can recommend HD DVD over Blu-ray, especially with the developments over the past week.  Since Warner is only making Blu-ray discs starting in the next few months, HD DVD is running out of studios providing content in that format.  Since this guide is supposed to be for consumers who are (most likely) not hugely familiar with these kind of developments, I would have expected better from this article than to specifically recommend a format that is, by pretty much all account, going to be gone by the end of 2008.
