Will your TV go dark a year from now?

I wonder what senator got paid off by a digital cable lobbyist to make this possible.  I’ve got cable, but I use an antennae in my kitchen, and my mother uses it for the TV next to her computer.  No way the cable companies could get away with ending the ‘Free television’ era, penalizing mostly low income people, if there wasn’t come kind of corrupt lobbying involved.
