Jesus And Alice
Jesus And Alice
When eye heard the music it transported me to a distant land a place of some enchantment
You can get anything you want at Alice’s Restaurant
You can get anything you want at Alice’s Restaurant
Walk right in it’s around the back
Just a half a mile from the railroad track
You can get anything you want at Alice’s Restaurant
Then someone told me BOY iff yew lak that
Yew need to hear WOODY
He is the reason behind the ARLO
And somehow eye neglected so great an education eye was too busy in the real world
Begging bread and dedication just to survive.
Then one day in www. Land as eye was browsing in the Ethernet eye found a song
Written by the father of the ARLO one.
Jesus Christ the song intrigued me so
This poem is being born mostly just a TRIBUTE to the Guthrie one the FATHER and the SON. The ARLO one. A dedication to survival. Here is just an exerpt of the JESUS CHRIST song.
The people of the land took Jesus by the hand,
They followed Him far and wide;
“I come not to bring you peace, but a sword”,
So they killed Jesus Christ on the sly.
I wrote this song looking out of a rooming house window in New York City in the winter of Nineteen and Forty. I thought I had to put down on paper how I felt about the rich folks and the poor ones.
This is the millennium the end of time.
Thank you WOODY and ARLO
This last once more time.
This song is called Alice’s Restaurant, and it’s about Alice, and the
restaurant, but Alice’s Restaurant is not the name of the restaurant,
that’s just the name of the song, and that’s why I called the song Alice’s
Restaurant.
Eye could have made this poem bleed eye could have made this tribute work better some if WOODY had just written
Jesus Christ his song
In NINETEEN FORTY ONE.
GUTHRIES TWO WE STILL LOVE YEW.
BOTH.
