A delayed response, having only viewed the movie last night on DVD: You have to concede this latest entry is a hundred times more artful than its clunky, embarrassing predecessors. I found it far more exciting and funny than the original trilogy, and while I see your point about the females being Disneyfied hotties, that’s a problem with cartoons in general. Further, April was voiced by Sarah Michelle Gellar, a.k.a. feminist icon Buffy, from a show that, for all its feminist empowerment, also required all its female badasses to be thin, wispy hotties. TMNT was good fun. I consider it the high point of the franchise’s troubled, absurd history. Comment by Monte from Twin Falls, Idaho — November 27, 2007 @ 11:13 am

I just want to say, General Mono reminds me of those wierd alien machine thingos from ‘The fifth element’ movie starring Bruce Willis. The ones who are the ‘keepers’ of the stones until they are trapped blown up. just a thought. Thanks.
