That comment is funny. I happen to know the author is British, Dan, just like you. Comment by Nathan Harbinger from Bristol — April 12, 2007 @ 6:42 am Thank you Nathan, I am indeed British, and very familiar indeed with Sacha Baron Cohen’s brand of comedy. And I consider myself chastised. How could I be so wrong?!! Or more importantly Dan, how could you? Seriously though, all comments are appreciated. I’m afraid that you seem to have missed the point entirely, I’ll grant you Cohen’s comedic range is limited (at best) but the review comes across as a bitter american who for once has been made sport, and wishes to rage against this violation of their cultural personality. You failed to actually review the DVD correctly, simply tacking on a list of the extras at the end of your diatribe. Why have a review of the film at release, and then review it again when the DVD is released? Surely a discussion of the actual product is worth half of the review? Once again the indignant yank is content to poke fun at differing cultures or religions, yet the moment the tables are turned it’s “bad media”. Poor.
