I Hate Myself and Want to Die: The 52 Most Depressing Songs You've Ever Heard

by Tom Reynolds

Hyperion

May 2006, 288 pages, $12.95

by Tim O'Neil

Reynolds serves as an admirable tour guide through his murderers' row of craptastically depressing tunes.

I read a few chapters of this book, mostly only the songs I’ve heard, and I have to say this guys seems to just not like some of these songs and just wants to talk about them being bad. I don’t see how these song, many of which everyone knows and still loves, are crappy and deserve the crap comments Mr. Reynolds seems to be giving out. How this got published, I just do not understand. I regret buying it, to be totally honest. Waste of $7…
