Extreme Rendition

At the start of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, the now incorporated superheroes are negotiating endorsement contracts.

Apparently, you are very young. When you said this:

“None of Alicia’s scenes quite makes sense in the film’s general thrust—that is, toward the Four’s encounter with the Silver Surfer (inspired by T2, acted by Doug Jones, voiced by Laurence Fishburne).”

The Silver Surfer was NOT inspired by T2. You have it backwards. From Wikipedia, for your edification:

“The Silver Surfer (originally Norrin Radd) is a fictional Marvel Comics superhero created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby. He first appeared in the comic book Fantastic Four #48 (March 1966), part of what is popularly known as the “Galactus Trilogy.” “

Cynthia, you obviously are a skilled writer albeit un-qualified to make comments on a storyline you know nothing about.  In the future please do your homework about the topic and your writing won’t come off as being so negative.

Not every comic book movie is geared toward the nearing middle aged geek - something naysayers of the Fantastic Four franchise fail to comprehend.
