My friend, your comment speaks volumes more about your arrogance than Cynthia’s writing. If you were open-minded enough to read the review properly, you would find that Cynthia analyzes the movie’s core themes adeptly in her writing. I would prefer to read this and know what I am getting out of a movie than be subjected to the rant of an elitist movie critic (which accounts for most of them on the net, Ebert down). By all means, go off and become your own movie reviewer, and make your writing have a succinct flow with as much analytical skill as this, but otherwise keep your damn mouth shut you hypocritical snob! I didn’t even read the review. But I don’t if your ability as a reviewer can be more summed up than the “WARNING PLOT SPOILERS IN THE LAST TWO PARAGRAPHS”
Surprise surprise, the best you can do is just explain the plot. These aren’t supposed to be book summaries… we did those in 3rd grade.
