Metroid has always been akin to waking up in the eye of a storm.

Good read and that’s an interesting question raised by the game, since it’s hard to imagine where else they could go with the series.

I seem to recall reading that the next Zelda title coming was some sort of cross-bow game, an FPS concept anyways. Maybe they’ll just start crossing genres within the franchises. They already did Metroid pinball and all the elements are present for them to make it into an RPG. Final Fantasy made a great tactical game and Super Mario was a great RPG. Sometimes, the only limiting factor in franchises is our pre-conceptions themselves.
