Pursuit Force: Extreme JusticePlatforms: PlayStation PortablePublisher: SonyDeveloper: BigBigESRB Rating: Teen29 January 2008, 1-4 players, $29.99[29 February 2008]by L.B. JeffriesIs it casual? Is it hardcore? Is it...both?
Yeah, I thought about that and probably should’ve mentioned Portal. Before we get into a semantics argument, I define game design as the way the game is played and how you experience it. It’s a broad term so you’re welcome to have your own concept. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Portal and the portal gun was a blast. But as far as the way the game was designed to be played...it’s main innovation was being short. Which has been done before, albeit no one comes close to the polish or great puzzles. Pursuit Force strings together a series of short mini-games into a coherent whole ‘mission’. Car mini-game, rail shooting mini-game, etc. I’ve never seen someone execute a concept quite like that before. Comment by L.B. Jeffries from The South — February 29, 2008 @ 4:56 pm
