Fantasies

The focus in Nim's Island is most earnestly on the relationship that develops between 11-year-old Nim and Alex (Jodie Foster) from San Francisco.

Racist?  In what way?  If the villains had been caucasian, would that also be racist?  Why not?  What if the villains had been female?  Sexist?  Your assumption that the villainy of these characters was created solely because of their race shows that it is you who is the racist.
