Hi All. I recently just watched “hard times at Douglass High”. I have graduated High School about 7 years ago now. I was surprised to see how some students have a hard time just going to school. That was true for me as well…

Just wanted to say that I read Popmatters.com religiously and love every piece written by Ms. Fuchs.
Today was no different- I really enjoyed the article written about the upcoming HBO documentary and can’t wait to watch it tonight.
However, I do need to point out what I think is a mistake. In the first graf it is mentioned that Frederick Douglass High School is based in Baltimore, then later it says it’s the first high school for Black students and is based in Prince George’s County. There are schools named for Mr. Douglass in both Baltimore and in PG County- which one is this piece referring to? I assume this piece is discussing the latter since it mentions 1922- but you might want to clear this up so that noone else is confused.
thanks.
