I love the show.  It really proves not to judge by outter appearances.  Average looking people can be talented, sincerly, and capable.
I also love the other characters, and they all seem to play their parts very well. 
The one thing your write up confused me about, was you said Justin is Betty’s brother.  On the show he appears to be her nephew.  And boy, does that kid play that part well.  I really think the show is worth watching.  I love every bit of it!
