J.J. Cale

To Tulsa and Back [DVD]

[On Tour with J.J. Cale]

(Time Life) Rated: N/A

US release date: 13 June 2006

UK release date: 13 June 2006

To Tulsa and Back merely reinforces the common perception that J.J. Cale is laid-back and uninterested with stardom. As a result, it's also a wasted opportunity.

The Cale presented in this tour video is the Cale I play with and have known since 1957. There’s no hype, no BS, in the video or in Cale. What you see is what you get. In the modern music scene, I think this is miraculous.
