“Why Modern Radio Is A-OK”
This North Carolina band managed to craft one of the smartest, strangest anthems about the airwaves. As singer Skip Matheny professes, they love the radio but not because it plays their favorite music. Actually, they think it sucks and that’s exactly why they like it. They don’t want to hear the classic songs that break their heart (i.e. Dylan, Neil Young, Van Morrison) so the crappy stations nowadays get the thumbs up from them. Pretty twisted, eh?
