ShareAll signs should point to major laughs for Adam McKay’s newest film, The Other Guys, releasing in June. McKay once again is directing his comedic muse of sorts, Will Ferrell, a pairing that has consistently delivered great results. Anchorman, Talladega Nights, and Step Brothers are a few films that come to mind, not to mention all the sketches from their daytime gig at Funny Or Die. Here’s to hoping their comedic talents carry over into the cop comedy genre.
Although the trailer for The Other Guys is kind of “meh”, everyone and their mother seems to be in it. Michael Keaton making an appearance as a police chief? Marky Mark showing off some ballet skills? Eva Mendes co-starring as Will Ferrel’s disproportionately hot wife? Samuel L. Jackson delivering mediocre one-liners? Yes, The Other Guys is all this and more, including a script co-written by Chris Henchy of Land of the Lost fame.
