Plus, I seen the new CD, I Learned the Hard Way in every Starbucks I visit. Cultural omnipresence. Next stop the Nordstrom Rack, which has started selling CDs for some odd reason when almost everyone else has stopped.

Those tough lessons have settled deep in Jones' voice; the hard rasp is sanded down some, the emotions subtler than on the previous record -- but perhaps more volatile in their restraint.
