Wire's Legal Bootlegs and Forthcoming New Album

The heavily influential band Wire has been offering a series of “legal” live bootlegs from their website here. And in an effort to peak your interest, they’ve included a free download from a 1988 show in London. The song is “The Queen of Ur and the King of Um” originally from the album A Bell Is a Cup… Until It Is Struck.

In other Wire news, the band plans to release their new album later this year (digital download) and early next year (all other formats). All information including scheduled release dates and a tentative running order of the songs can be found in Wire’s online newsletter. Go to their website www.pinkflag.com to sign up for it.
