Glass Graves' "Architecture". Can You Dig It?

Friday, Nov 19, 2010

As Mother Nature draws the curtain on another passing year and blows the icy chill of winter through our veins what better way to salute the rise of darkness than a cosy night spent dreaming in Glass Graves?

Yes Oakland’s Glass Graves – the nom du guerre of the fiendishly monikered Gaby Graves – are hoping to blacken the blue skies of our youth by offering their macabre n’ marvellous debut LP Architecture for free. Whilst the headstone may whisper ‘witch-house’, it sleeps more soundly near those plots filled by late ‘80s / early ‘90s crack’d n’ curs’d romantics like Curve, Nick Cave, My Bloody Valentine, Cranes and The Cure. Glorious midnight pop with a weeping, bleeding heart. Oh and rats, bloodbaths, shadows, prisons and cemeteries. Dellamore! Dellamorte! Something wicked this way comes! Now dig for victory comrades!
