Call for Papers: PopMatters Celebrates The Jam in Massive Special Section

My Morning Jacket Celebrate New Album Circuital by Offering Free Downloads

For the next six weeks, My Morning Jacket will be counting down to their sixth studio album entitled Circuital by releasing six free downloads on their website. The first five will be live songs from the band’s October 2010 residency at New York’s Terminal 5. On April 12th, the sixth and final offering will be a studio track from Circuital


You can download the first song, which is a live performance of “Butch Cassidy” from the MMJ’s 1999 album The Tennessee Fire, via the widget below or through the band’s website. Also below is the band’s confirmed tour dates and a YouTube clip of a live performance of the song entitled “Circuital”.

When My Morning Jacket took the stage at the Memorial Coliseum, strolling out confidently to a sax-drenched waltz, what might have been interpreted by the unfamiliar as a strange choice of tune only seemed head-scratchingly appropriate.
