The Washington Post calls the new album “solid”, while QRO Magazine says, “Thievery has, once again, delivered the goods”.”


Finally Thievery have announced the release of a live dvd recorded in January of 2010 at D.C.‘s 9:30 Club. Thievery Corporation: Live at the 9:30 Club will be released on September 6th.

It looks like Thievery Corporation has a few more albums to go before they can put out a best of collection worthy of the name.

This album, Thievery Corporation's fifth, is equal parts revolution and tradition. But it's unfortunately weighed down by too much of the same downtempo sounds we have all heard before.

If you find yourself in the market for a record to put on in the background while you chat to your mates, or if you have a particularly awesome sound system that you would like to put through it's paces, then you could do a lot worse than buying this album.
